I believe what you wrote made a lot of sense. However, what about this? what if you were to write a killer title? I ain't saying your information isn't solid, but what if you added a post title to possibly get people's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is a little plain. You ought to look at Yahoo's home page and note how they create post headlines to get people to click. You might add a video or a picture or two to get readers interested about what you've got to say. In my opinion, it might bring your website a little livelier.
